Frosting & Colour
Due to the handmade nature of our candles our candles may vary slight from the pictures online. You may also notice that there is frosting or wetspots on your candle - these are not flaws in the candles.
This is a natural characteristic of pure soy wax and actually a testament to the lack preservatives in soy candles.
These can appear during the candle making process or even after due to changes in temperature. Frosting or wet spots do not affect the scent throw or burning properties of the candles.
You can safely burn a candle with these properties without worry. Read more here.
Ensure the wick is centered at all times.
The First Burn: The first time you burn your candle, let the wax melt to the edge of the container for the best scent throw and longest burn time. This will also stop any tunnelling of your candle.
Trim your Wick: Before burning your candle, ensure your candle wick has been trimmed to around a 5mm length to stop the flame getting too big.
Burn Time: We recommend not burning your candle for any longer than 3 hours at a time to keep your candle in its best form.
Put a Lid on It: All our soy candles come with a lid. Replace the lid once you have finished burning it. Wait for it to cool down and cover this will help to keep it clean from dust.
- Burn within sight on heat-resistant surface.
- Keep away from kids, pets and all flammable objects.
- Don't burn all the way down - discontinue use when 2cm of wax remains
